At just about the same size as he’ll be as an adult, Nevado is a perfect fit for a family looking for a smaller dog. Tusha needs an adopter to bring her out of her shell and to give her time and reassurance to discover that life can be fun. She was quiet and reserved out of her kennel but we know that she will blossom in a loving home.

Tush seemed unbothered by the cats at the canil and currently shares her kennel with several other dogs.

She is sterilised, microchipped and will receive a rabies vaccination.

We know that he’s not an ‘instant fall in love dog’ but we do know that he’s ‘a good boy’ who have been at the canil since November 23, yet still has a kind heart and a joy for life. Dogs like Archie get overlooked, but you are missing out on a wonderful companion dog who would love to experience the joy of a great home.

At just around three years old, she’s barely more than a pup herself, but she’s already proven to be a loving and devoted mother. Now that her puppies are growing up, it’s her turn to be spoiled! Bronquinha is affectionate, gentle, and social—she adores people and would make a wonderful companion. She’s a smaller dog, so while she may put on a few healthy pounds at home, she’ll always be compact and cuddle-sized. Lili is a pocket sized little girl, 28cm in height to her shoulder. Lili is sterilised, microchipped and has a rabies vaccination, so she’s ready for a great adopter to welcome her into their home.

She’s an active dog with lots of energy so she’ll need walks, toys to play with and training.

Lili is doing well in a kennel with other little dogs, but she would do better in a comfy home. She didn’t pay any attention to the roaming cats.

Paloma has had a wonderful foster home, alongside her daughter for a year now. They came from the municipal canil in Tomar, terrified and hiding in the back of their kennel, but Paloma is a different dog now! She will come to you for cuddles, enjoys walks and loves to snuggle up with other dogs and cats. She can still be startled by loud noises and will need support in an anxious situation but her new found confidence has exceeded our expectations and she is now ready for a loving home.

Rosie first came into the canil 7/24, was adopted for a year and now finds herself back at the canil, through no fault of her own.

She’s a friendly, little girl and gets on well with other dogs and seems OK with cats.

You will notice that Rosie has suffered an injury to the front of her mouth, resulting in no teeth, but she can eat perfectly well.

Rosie is now looking for her forever home and is the perfect, little companion dog for someone who will love and protect her.

She is sterilised, microchipped and has a rabies vaccination, so she’s ready to go!
